35 O, remember my son and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God.
36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and withersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
At Bible study with my main-stream Christian friends we all discussed our "life scriptures" I said mine was Philippians 4:13, but as I've been thinking over it for the past few weeks since that Bible Study session, I realized that this one is really my "life scripture." It's the scripture I want to base my life around. I want to remember to keep the commandments, to be solely relient on the Lord knowing that he will make sure that I get what he wants me to have. I am still a mortal, so I will still make mistakes, but this scripture will always be there to remind me to strive to be better, to rededicate my life to God and let him make of me what he wants. It takes work to align your will to God's, but the final result seems like it would definitely be worth it.
