36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
This one kind of woke me up when I was reading John. I had to ask myself whether or not I had faith in the the Lord as my savior, and if I was willing to give my life to Him (I'm working on giving my life to Him). It was an eye-opener, but I knew that I didn't want the wrath of God adiding on me.
